Laura has worked in public sector procurement for the last 16 years so really understands the challenges that are faced across all sectors and the easiest route to achieve best value on your contracts!

What excites you most about working in the education sector?
Making savings that are pumped back into schools whilst helping them achieve a better value service contract.
What key changes have you seen in the sector over the last few years?
School budgets have been tightened and there has been an increase in moving contracts away from Local Authorities to achieve best value.
What is the biggest challenge you see your clients face and how do you help them overcome it?
I find that some clients lack confidence when taking their tender out to market, I help them realise the difference that a great contract can make for their school or MAT.
In your opinion, what ensures a successful procurement process?
Understanding the school’s needs and visions to ensure they have a bespoke specification tailored specifically to the school.
In an ever-changing environment why are Schools’ Buying Club’s services so important?
We understand the challenges faced by schools as we run our own MAT. We are able to fully support schools and MATs with the help of procurement workshops, our free Procurement Helpline and our contract management support. We will always guide our clients, so they achieve the best outcome.
