We work with school business professionals across the region and are a long term partner of ISBL. We aim to improve schools’ procurement practices whilst helping develop procurement knowledge and experience. We provide workshops on all aspects of procurement, from the process to any changes you should be aware off. Here are the networks we support in your area:
Schools’ Buying Club worked on the successful application for New House Farm CofE Primary School, on behalf of Derby Diocesan Board of Education, and is now supporting its pre-opening, which covers themes such as governance, finance, stakeholder consultation and capital works. Schools’ Buying Club also supported Derby Diocesan Board of Education with the successful application for pre-opening of and opening of Derby Cathedral School in September 2019. Building further on our relationship with Derby Diocesan Board of Education, Schools’ Buying Club recently supported the production of a Wave 14 free schools programme application.
Seva School was the first all-through Sikh faith school in Coventry. Schools’ Buying Club was appointed to provide project management support for the pre-opening phase including advice on governance, finance, stakeholder consultation and capital works.
Schools’ Buying Club has developed an ongoing relationship with Derby Diocesan Academy Trust (DDAT) which was formed in response to the national academy and free school programmes. Schools’ Buying Club provided a comprehensive pre-opening service to the Trust, including principal designate recruitment, governance, finance, marketing, education policy development and section 10 consultation. Derby Cathedral school opened successfully in 2018 with 180 Year 7 students and was oversubscribed for the first year of operation. Schools’ Buying Club has continued to work with DDAT on a number of additional projects.
Schools’ Buying Club managed the tender process for the catering service at Court Farm Primary School. The school wanted a better value solution, without compromising on quality. The new contract has been able to deliver a saving of £37k over the 3-year contract.
“School’s Buying Club has helped us greatly with tendering for our catering provision. They took all the hassle out of the process and managed it well. Governors were pleased and we established our objectives.” Rebekah Button, School Business Manager
