Find a Tender: The post-Brexit public sector procurement notice portal

Find a Tender: The post-Brexit public sector procurement notice portal

December 1, 2020 – Announcements, East of England, London & SE, Midlands, North East, North West, South West

From Friday 1st January 2021 a new e-notification portal called Find a Tender (FTS) will be used to post and view public sector procurement notices. This platform will replace the requirement to publish notices in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).

Many third-party procurement portals have already completed the process to be able to use and publish notices on Find a Tender. Schools’ Buying Club is ready for the switch to Find a Tender and will continue to seamlessly manage your procurements throughout the transition period.

Any procurements launched after 11pm on the 31st December 2020 will need to be published on Find a Tender rather than the OJEU portal. Any procurement that is live prior to the cut-off time and date will continue to run on the current OJEU portal.

The government have recently updated the documents that introduce the portal and all the relevant information can be found here.

We have received multiple requests for advice on the potential ramifications that leaving the EU could have on public procurement, and what this could mean for our clients in the education sector. Our Brexit paper hopes to shed some light on the practical implications that Brexit will have on public procurement, whilst also addressing some of the speculation around the long-term impact. To receive your copy of the Brexit paper please click here.

If you have any questions or would like some advice on your own contracts and tenders, please don’t hesitate to contact us at the Schools’ Buying Club on 08452577050 or email contact@schoolsbuyingclub.com
