Schools will generally have good relationships with a number of agencies but they will always be on the terms of the agency and with little done in the way of benchmarking rates, removing temporary to permanent fees and understanding compliance of procurement regulations and the Agency Workers Directive. 40 schools in Gloucestershire save up to £220,000 per annum

We were asked by a consortium of 40 schools in Gloucestershire to undertake an Options Appraisal on their total supply teaching spend. The schools were using numerous suppliers and spending an inordinate amount of money. Our review identified that the 40 primary schools were spending around £1.1million per annum.
